The studio

Structured Cloud Studios

An independent game studio in Mississauga, Ontario. The games arm of Structured Cloud, run by the same people to the same standard.

This studio started the way most good arguments do: over a controller. We came to it from code and design, and from a house where nobody lets the kids win at Mario Kart. Not once. They are getting better at it, which is turning into its own problem.

Somewhere in all that we stopped only playing games and started taking them apart. Why one run ends with you putting the phone down, and the next one ends with you hitting retry before the score has finished counting up. Once you can answer that, you want to build the second kind, and we had the skills sitting right there. So we took a shot at it, and Structured Cloud Studios is what came out.

We are a small team and we intend to stay one. Nobody here is chasing a trend or a funding round, so there is only ever one question in the room: is it fun yet. Until the answer is yes it does not ship, and we will tell you how it is going either way in the devlogs.

How we work

Four things we do not compromise on

  • 01

    Quality over quantity

One game gets the whole team until it is done. Every screen in it gets the same attention as the one on the store page, because the twentieth minute is where a player decides whether we meant it.

  • 02

    We finish our own games

Everybody here plays the build, and plays it to the end rather than through the first stage. If nobody on the team wants one more run, it is nowhere near ready for anybody else.

  • 03

    Feedback changes the build

Tell us something is off and we go and look. Plenty of what ends up in a game starts as a message from somebody playing it, and we would far rather hear it now than read it in a review.

  • 04

    Finished means finished

We would rather move a date than ship something we would have to apologise for.

In development

One game at a time

HEATSINK

A one-thumb arcade shooter for Android and iOS. Heat kills you and multiplies you: 60 stages, 6 bosses, a daily board, no auto-aim and no paywalled retries.

It has the whole studio on it, and a site of its own with the full picture: how it plays, what is in it, and what is still open.

The short version

Where we are

  1. 2026

    The studio opens

Structured Cloud Studios starts in Mississauga as the games arm of Structured Cloud, with one project and no publisher.

  2. Now

    Heatsink in development

An arcade shooter for Android and iOS, played with one thumb. Devlogs as we go.

  3. Next

A date, once we are sure of it

Release is to be announced. It gets announced when the build says it is true, and not before.
